# 🎬 WELCOME TO OUR LEARNING ECOSYSTEM! Watch the Video & Claim your first badge! Science isn't a passive subject inside a textbook—it's a pursuit of knowledge that begins when we step outside, get our hands dirty, and explore the living world around us! In this community, we look at learning through the very same ecological lens we study in nature: * 🦠 **Individual Organisms**: Every student is a unique organism with individual curiosity, strengths, and ideas. * 🐾 **Populations**: Our physical students inside Room C7 make up one population, and our online Skool members form another! * 🌿 **Community & Ecosystem**: When we share our outdoor research, complete challenge quests, and collaborate during live field days—including joint outdoor sessions with our **Get 2 Green Club**—our classrooms and online platforms connect to form one thriving learning ecosystem! Co-taught by a Life Science Teacher (PhD in Biological Sciences) and **Co-Teacher Moon** (our 135 lb English Mastiff service dog wearing her signature purple glasses and braces), we blend the **4-H Model** (*Head, Heart, Hands, Health*) and the **5E Model** (*Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate*) to help mold lifelong learners outside the traditional four walls. --- ### 🛑 **YOUR FIRST CHALLENGE: UNLOCK YOUR LEVEL 2 "PACK MEMBER" BADGE 🏅** To earn your **Level 2 Badge** and unlock our full vault of outdoor field lab guides and 60-second home STEM challenges, complete these two quick steps: 1. 🎬 **Watch the short video overview above!** 2. 💬 **Leave a comment below answering these 5 questions**: **Let’s start with Howdy!
