Hey, I'm Taji, and I built Smart Spark For Teachers™ because I know what it feels like to be a teacher who's drowning and I also know what it feels like to figure out systems that actually work.
MY CLASSROOM STORY
I started my teaching career through Teach For America in 2014 and spent 10 years as a middle school science teacher. I wasn't placed in a cushy suburban school. I taught at one of the lowest performing middle schools in Texas, where only 27% of scholars were proficient in science when I arrived.
Within three years, we hit 77% proficiency. Our campus earned distinction in Science. And WFAA came to feature what we were doing in our classroom.
