🎥 RESQ Sneak Peek — First 3 Videos Now in the Crew
Filming the RESQ module in batches, so these aren't dropping in perfect order — but the content stands on its own. These are barely edited, straight from the training room. A preview of what we'll cover in depth during the Academy. RESQ Overview: What the RESQ method is, why it exists, and the legal basics every rider should know — Good Samaritan law, informed vs. implied consent, and your scope as a bystander. Stop Major Bleeds: The three techniques: direct pressure, tourniquet use, and wound packing. Hands-on demo with a training dummy and a blue training tourniquet. This is the meat and potatoes of RESQ. Trauma Kit Overview: What I carry in my fanny pack and why — four CAT tourniquets, QuikClot combat gauze, chest seals, trauma shears, and the "boo-boo pocket." How to set up your own kit so it stays with you on the bike. More RESQ videos are still in production — Remain Calm, Ensure Your Own Safety, and Quickly Assess Severity are on deck. Once everything's filmed, I'll organize the full watch order so the module flows start to finish. For now — watch these, take notes, and if you haven't taken a Stop the Bleed class yet, put it on your list.

🔥 Crew Meeting Recap — March 18, 2026
What's up Crew! Here's what we covered today for those who couldn't make it: The Big Picture We're 43 days out from the May 1st Academy launch. That's the main focus right now — everything else is secondary. The weekly Crew meetings are about to level up. Once the Academy starts, every Wednesday at 11am MST will have an actual structured lesson instead of just open discussion. We built the habit of showing up — now we're building the structure. What's Getting Filmed I walked through the production checklist (yes, I gamified it 😂). Here's what I'm knocking out before launch: - Street Strategies — city riding, parking lot awareness, mountain/highway/night riding - Smart Rider Control Drills — updated with the new certification system - RESQ — motorcycle crash response The New Book Everything is being built into one complete system: Riding Smart: The Complete Motorcycle Training System. Four modules — Fundamental Riding Operations, Street Strategies, RESQ Crash Response, and Smart Rider Control Drills. The Academy is what builds it all together. Certification Standards Update Quick reminder on how the drill certs work — no foot down, no cone contact, complete the drill by the design. Speed is NOT graded. You get 3 attempts per drill. Shoutout to Elad for already knocking out the Basic Control U-turn proficiency and showing everyone how the filming process works. 💪 Academy Structure Shared the full 8-week breakdown. It's designed so that each week builds on the last — and if you need extra time, there are open weeks built in. The goal is roughly 12–16 hours total across 8 weeks. That's the same time as an MSF course, but you'll walk away with way more. The Vision Long-term, I want the Crew to become self-sustaining — members mentoring new riders, sharing what they've learned, and being a force for good in the community. Especially with RESQ — being citizen responders who can help at any crash scene, not just motorcycle ones. Tomorrow I've got a RESQ class teaching an adventure riding group's staff. After that — it's all production until May 1st. Let's get it. 🤙
