For Such a Time as This 💎
I host a private Facebook group where people of Faith share crafted prayer, songs, poems, and other heartfelt words and images that are gently intended to support others through a troubled season.
During a very brutal season, I learned that I live by hours and minutes not by days and that every day has at least one uplifting hour or pleasurable hour or funny hour or encouraging hour. 🤔
I learned to release the phrase "bad day" from my vocabulary .... there were just some days that had many hours of crushing weight and tears. I learned a great deal about how God feels in those hours.
I learned to set boundaries on disabling feelings; and when they started demanding too much of my time, I made them calendar an appointment. Often, I invited my very excellent counselor. She listens with her heart ❤️, reminds me to be extra kind to my body, sees humor in hopeless situations, and reminds me to stay curious and to find the Divine Gem 💎 that is always 🎁 present.
