Want to talk nervous system?
For those who don’t know me, I’m Leah Davidson 👋I’m a Speech Language Pathologist and nervous system coach, and my world revolves around helping people understand their nervous system, manage stress, and build real-life resilience. I host the Building Resilience podcast, run an Advanced Training in Nervous System Resilience, and create guided journals and nervous-system-based tools (many of them on Amazon). I also have a Skool community called the Midlife Nervous System Rewire… I am super passionate about all things nervous system!!!
Over the last little while I’ve felt so drawn to really also hone in on the impact midlife has on the nervous system. Mostly because I’m living it 🤪 and because so many of the beautiful women already in my professional and personal world with are too!
What I’m noticing again and again is that the nervous system really does behave differently in midlife. Hormonal shifts. Layered responsibilities. Role transitions. Identity changes. There is even often a deeper pull towards more meaning and purpose.
I coached a woman in my group yesterday and we talked about how things that once felt manageable suddenly don’t, and women often assume something is “wrong” with them rather than recognizing a real biological and neurological shift.
I love having conversations about this and about how stress shows up differently in midlife, why regulation can feel harder and how this season isn’t an unraveling, but a recalibration.
If you host a podcast, or know someone who does, where conversations about midlife, women’s health, nervous system regulation, identity, or transitions would resonate, I’d love to be considered as a guest. Please comment below or send me a DM!!
Thank you! Looking forward to connecting!
