Law of Assumption Not Working For You? Watch This 👀
You wrote "I attract premium clients" in your journal this morning.
Then you checked your DMs three times, refreshed your analytics twice, and rewrote a caption you already posted. Before noon. 🧠
I work with women who run businesses while their bodies are changing the rules on them. Perimenopause, nervous system rewiring, identity shifts.
And this pattern shows up in almost every single one of them.
The assumption you wrote down and the assumption your body is actually running are two completely different programs.
Your brain has something called a Default Mode Network. Think of it as your identity's home address. When nothing is demanding your attention, your brain goes back to that address.
And that address decides what you notice, what you filter out, and what feels "normal for someone like me."
So you can affirm all day.
But if the home address still says "money is inconsistent" or "visibility is dangerous" or "I have to earn it again every single month"... your brain's prediction engine keeps building reality around the old address. Not the new one. 👀
The clearest signal? The checking habit.
If you have to keep checking whether it worked, your nervous system already told you the assumption hasn't installed yet. That's data. Not a willpower problem.
The fix isn't assuming harder. It's updating the default identity underneath the desire. The thermostat setting that keeps snapping your results back to baseline even after a big month. ✨
