Over the past few weeks I have noticed a number of communities leaving skool or going dark. Several who are still here have seen engagement drop at least 50%. Was it the latest algorithm change, or something more basic? Thoughts?

I just stumbled on a free community with 17k members. They are offering something similar to one of my community in French, so I went inside to see how they are doing. There are 5 posts. No more than 5-10 people online at the same time, out of 17k. ZERO post written by someone else than the owner. Now, I'm not saying this is bad in itself. The owner created a simple landing page for his lead magnet, and this is how he is using Skool. It's clever, and it's making him some affiliate sales. But it got me to reflect on how this is NOT how I want to use Skool. Yes, I want my member count to increase. But I don't want my community to be a simple billboard for my free lead magnets. That's why I'm selective on who I let in, and how I invite people to participate. I'd rather go for quality over quantity. And starting small is the best way to create a solid, active community with people who are deeply engaged. What is your take on this?
