Quick Re cap on the 7 day challenge
Day 1 was about finding the gaps.
Day 2 was about why people are viewing but not joining.
Today we go inside the community.
Because getting members in is only half the battle.
The next question is:
βWhy are people joiningβ¦ but not talking?β
ββββββββββββββ
π¨ THE REAL PROBLEM
Most members do not stay silent because they do not care.
They stay silent because something is missing.
It might be:
β
they do not know what to say
β
they do not feel confident enough to post
β
they are waiting for someone else to go first
β
they do not understand the culture yet
β
they do not feel personally invited in
β
the posts feel too big to answer
β
there is no easy first action
β
the room feels more like an audience than a community
This is where a lot of communities leak.
They get membersβ¦
but they do not create movement.
ββββββββββββββ
π§ WHAT A SILENT MEMBER IS THINKING
When someone joins your community, they are quietly asking:
βWhere do I start?β
βWhat am I supposed to do first?β
βIs it safe to post here?β
βWill anyone reply?β
βDo I belong in this room?β
βIs this active?β
βDoes the owner notice me?β
βAre other members like me?β
βWhat happens if I say something and nobody responds?β
If your community does not answer those questions quicklyβ¦
they stay quiet.

π― TODAYβS FOCUS
Today we are finding your engagement leak.
Not by blaming members.
Not by saying βpeople just lurk.β
Not by posting more random content.
We are looking at the environment you have created.
Because engagement is not just posting.
Engagement is behaviour.
And behaviour needs a clear reason, a safe space, and an easy first step.
ββββββββββββββ
π₯ THE DAY 3 ENGAGEMENT AUDIT
Look at your community like a brand new member.
Not the owner.
Not the expert.
Not the person who knows where everything is.
A new member who has just joined and is deciding whether to speak or stay silent.
Then work through these:
ββββββββββββββ
1οΈβ£ IS THE FIRST ACTION OBVIOUS?
When someone joins, do they know exactly what to do first?
Not βhave a look around.β
Not βget involved.β
Not βintroduce yourself if you want.β
What is the first clear action?
Examples:
β
Comment on the welcome post
β
Answer one simple intro question
β
Vote in a poll
β
Share their current struggle
β
Pick A, B, C or D
β
Complete the first classroom step
β
Reply to one other member
If the first action is not obvious, most people will do nothing.
ββββββββββββββ
2οΈβ£ ARE YOUR POSTS EASY TO ANSWER?
This is a big one.
Some posts sound goodβ¦
but they are too hard to respond to.
If your post makes people think too much, they scroll.
If your post feels too personal too soon, they avoid it.
If your question is too broad, they freeze.
Weak engagement post:
βWhat are your biggest struggles right now?β
Stronger engagement post:
βPick one:
A) Getting members
B) Getting engagement
C) Creating an offer
D) Knowing what to postβ
Make it easy for people to enter the conversation.
Simple beats clever.
ββββββββββββββ
3οΈβ£ ARE YOU BUILDING MEMBER-TO-MEMBER CONNECTION?
If every conversation depends on youβ¦
you do not have a community yet.
You have an audience.
The goal is not just:
Member β You
The goal is:
Member β Member
Member β Room
Room β Movement
Ask yourself:
Are members replying to each other?
Are you encouraging people to support each other?
Are you tagging people together?
Are you creating reasons for members to connect?
Are you celebrating members who show up?
Are you making people feel seen?
A strong community is not just where people listen to the leader.
It is where people start recognising each other.
ββββββββββββββ
4οΈβ£ ARE YOU REWARDING THE RIGHT BEHAVIOUR?
Members repeat what gets noticed.
If someone comments and nobody repliesβ¦
they may not comment again.
If someone shares a win and it gets ignoredβ¦
they may stop sharing.
If someone supports another member and you celebrate itβ¦
they are more likely to do it again.
So ask:
What behaviour am I rewarding?
Posting?
Replying?
Helping?
Sharing wins?
Taking action?
Welcoming new members?
Supporting others?
You shape the culture by what you notice.
ββββββββββββββ
5οΈβ£ DOES YOUR COMMUNITY HAVE A DAILY REASON TO RETURN?
This does not mean posting 20 times a day.
It means members understand the rhythm.
Do they know what happens on certain days?
Do they know when to show up?
Do they know what kind of posts to expect?
Do they know where they can contribute?
A community with rhythm feels alive.
A community with random posts can feel confusing.
Your members need patterns they can remember.
Examples:
β
Monday reset
β
Tuesday audit
β
Wednesday challenge
β
Thursday connection
β
Friday wins
β
Saturday show up
β
Sunday promotion
Rhythm creates habit.
Habit creates return visits.
Return visits create engagement.
ββββββββββββββ
π YOUR DAY 3 ACTION
Today, pick ONE engagement leak and fix it.
Do not try to fix the whole community.
Pick the biggest reason members might be staying quiet.
Choose one:
A) My first action is not clear enough
B) My posts are too hard to answer
C) Members are not connecting with each other
D) I am not rewarding interaction enough
E) My community has no clear rhythm
F) My welcome flow does not pull people in
G) I am posting content but not creating conversation
H) My members do not have a reason to come back daily
Then tighten that one thing today.

βοΈ COME BACK AND COMMENT
DAY 3 COMPLETE
My current engagement problem is:
The biggest reason members may be staying quiet is:
The part of my community creating silence is:
The one thing I changed today is:
My old version was:
My new version is:
This should help members engage because:
ββββββββββββββ
π₯ REMEMBER THIS
Members do not engage just because they joined.
They engage when the next step feels easy.
They engage when the room feels safe.
They engage when the question is simple.
They engage when they feel seen.
They engage when there is a reason to come back.
So today we are not just trying to βget more comments.β
We are building the kind of community people know how to take part in.
Letβs fix the silence
