I've been doing a lot of thinking about what I want this community to become and, more importantly, how I can make it genuinely useful for the people who spend time here. Over the past few months, I've realized that some of the conversations I'm most passionate about are the ones surrounding the business side of crochet: Etsy, product photography, pricing, marketing, email, creating products people want to buy, growing an audience and figuring out how all of these pieces fit together. So, I'm going to be giving this community a much clearer focus. Simply Hooked's Crochet Corner is becoming Hooked on Growth, a community specifically for crochet business owners and those who hope to start a crochet business. If you sell crochet patterns, finished products, kits or other crochet-related products, or you're simply thinking about turning your crochet into a business someday, this community is going to be for you. We'll be talking about the things that actually go into building a creative business, including what's working in my own business, what's not working, experiments I'm trying, Etsy and website strategies, marketing, product photos, email, pricing and plenty more. And I want this to be a place where we can learn from each other, ask questions, share wins and talk openly about the parts of running a crochet business that aren't always easy. If you're here simply because you love crochet and have no interest in selling, I completely understand. I'm still going to be sharing patterns, crochet inspiration and everything happening with Simply Hooked through my regular channels. The focus inside this particular community, however, will begin shifting toward crochet business growth. I'm really excited about giving this space a clearer purpose, and I think it's going to allow us to create something incredibly helpful together.
