Write With Me is happening in 5 days
Open Page - Making life easier - not harder
Some weeks need a breakthrough. Some weeks need a better place to keep the scissors. 😂 This week’s Open Page is now waiting in the Classroom. We’re exploring the small rules, habits, decisions and daily bits of friction that can make life harder than it needs to be, including the ones we bring to our journals.

Open Page - What Tenderness Looks Like for You
Tenderness can be something we feel and something we offer. What might tenderness show you when you meet it with curiosity? This week’s Open Page is now waiting in the Classroom. We are writing about how tenderness appears in our lives, what it may be drawing our attention to and how we can meet it with honesty, curiosity and care. Come and choose the prompt that feels most alive for you today.

This weeks theme - Kindness Without Performance
This week's theme has met me in a place I wasn't expecting. Living with chronic illness means there are weeks when my body asks a little more of me than I'd planned. This has been one of those weeks, and it's made me think a lot about what kindness really looks like when the thing you're trying to be kind to is the very thing that's hurting you. It's a strange relationship sometimes. There are moments where I feel frustrated. I wish my body would just give me a break. I wonder why it has to be so hard. There's a real resistance there, and I don't think I'm alone in that. Maybe you go through something similar? Then I remember something important. My body isn't my enemy. It isn't trying to ruin my plans or make life difficult. It's part of me. The same body that has carried me through fifty-one years of life, through joy, heartbreak, adventure, laughter, and every chapter in between. If someone I loved was in pain, I wouldn't stand beside them telling them to hurry up and get better. I'd make them a cup of tea, wrap them in a blanket, sit with them for a while, and remind them that tomorrow is another day. So why is it sometimes harder to offer that same kindness to ourselves? I'm still practising that. Not perfectly. Just honestly. I'm learning that kindness isn't about pretending everything is okay. It's about choosing to care for ourselves even when things aren't okay. So this week, I'd love us to explore that together. Have you ever noticed how kindness changes when life gets difficult? Does it come naturally, or do you find yourself having to work a little harder to stay on your own side? Over the next few days we'll be exploring Kindness Without Performance together, looking at what it really means to offer ourselves the same compassion we so freely give to others. I'd love you to bring your own stories, thoughts and reflections with you, because I have a feeling we're going to learn just as much from each other as we do from the page.
