Welcome. I'm Brett. I built this room because I needed one and didn't have it. A few years ago I was sitting on a rock, looking at the wreckage of a life I'd built, realizing none of it was what I actually wanted. What got me back wasn't a system. It was being met — by my father, by a priest, and through them by God. I'm here to walk with men to the moment they stop hiding. Three things about this place: Talking is the work. You can read everything here and change nothing. The men who get something from this are the ones who post — badly, half-formed, unsure. Say the true thing before you know how to say it well. Nobody's a project. You won't be fixed, diagnosed, or handed a plan. You'll be asked questions. That's the method. What's said here stays here. No exceptions. Your first step: go to Introductions and answer this — When was the last time you wanted something, and knew, without checking with anyone, that it was yours? If you can't remember, say that. It's the most honest answer most men have, and it's the right place to start.
New Episode!
New episode is up. And this one might sting a little — in a good way. It's about what happens when a man spends so many years setting his own wants down for everyone else that one day someone asks "what do you want?" and... there's nothing there. Just a blank. "I don't care. Whatever works." If you've ever gone quiet on that question — not because you don't care, but because you genuinely can't find the answer anymore — this one's for you. Give it a listen, then come back and tell me: when someone asks what YOU want, what usually comes out of your mouth?
What are you running from?
A word for the men reading and not posting. Everything I teach comes down to one thing: a man can't be the only witness to his own life. The change you make in private dies in private. Reading this room instead of posting in it is the same move — you're keeping it to yourself, where it's safe and where nothing holds. You don't have to post the hard thing. Post one true sentence. Let one other man witness it. That's the whole practice, and it's the difference between reading about the way home and walking it. What's the thing you've been outrunning?

Sunday
You call it being low-maintenance. Not wanting to burden anyone. Being a private man. It's hiding. And it's why you can feel alone in a house full of people who love you. You were loved before you'd built a single thing. You were loved before you did anything to earn it. Being seen was never the risk you thought it was. Nothing to post today. Sit with that one.

Wednesday Question
What's the sentence you keep carrying to the table — and swallowing? You know it. You've said it in the truck, alone. You just haven't said it to anyone who could hear you. Don't solve it. Just answer honestly, and read what the other men wrote.
