My name is Vadim, i am from Ukraine.
Its been a while since i followed Nick Ball and other people with different philosophies about injury prevention, rehabilitation after, body alignment and sports performance.
I was interested in learning more about GOATA and i liked the insights that Nick shared on his IG page.
As much as i wanted to learn it, i understood that this is guess work and its need proper guidence.
So here i am booking a call with Nick and had an awersome call with him, we did some body test and he gave me the exercise right away to work on and guided me through it. Then he told me about Pain Free Movement Academy and i took this opportunity right away.
My thing is that i have poor body alignment due to years playing video games as an teenager and sitting at the desk and school the other half of the day, having weak foot that been hurt by modern footwear, and after all pursuing sport of basketball and here i am having pain.
I had a call with Nick a week ago, but i did not started the program yet, because i had a pain in my left knee and some weird sound so i was concerned with an meniscus damage or tore so i waited, gave it a rest, went to doctor and he made some movement test where i layed down and made a 90 deegre knee agle with and then straightening the leg poth sides with the foot rotation.
After that test i was given the answer = its not meniscus problem (which is good) but it might be "sore" because of the additional pressure it was having from the real problem = disconnected quadriceps mucle that is "ill" with many fascia adhesions and knots that needs to be healed to work properly. Then recommended to get rid of by the miofascal release of having the quad on the foam roll and bending the leg to the glute and back.
Healing and having my body alignment back will improve not only my life but will give me an opportunity to continue to pursue my passion for basketball, getting better as a person, as a player and inspire people to change their life for better and helping them with it!
So this is it, right now i am starting this journey of learning about GOATA and am exited and look forward for it.
Big thanks to Nick for this opportunity!
