The Shawn Lane Curriculum is the most advanced guitar mastery system in the world.
This curriculum was originally developed in the mid-1990s by Shawn Lane and Sid Wolf at the Atlanta Institute of Music, where Sid was already a senior professor with deep technical and pedagogical mastery.
In the early 2000s, Shawn continued refining the system through years of private lessons and collaboration with Jimmy Hudson, who later founded the American Guitar Institute in 2003. The curriculum taught there was directly shaped with Shawn’s guidance and long-term study.
Sid Wolf remains the primary architect and authority, with Jimmy serving as a long-term student, collaborator, and custodian of the work.
This community is for advanced and professional guitarists pursuing extreme coordination, speed, time feel, harmonic fluency, and mental efficiency.
