Hey suga! 💕
Can I tell on myself for a minute?
For YEARS, I only changed my sewing machine needle when it broke. 😂
And if it didn’t break? It stayed in the machine.
Worse yet… I thought a Universal needle was the answer to everything.
Cotton? Universal.
Denim? Universal.
Knits? Universal.
Whatever I was sewing… Universal. 🤦🏽♀️
Then I learned something that completely changed my sewing.
Different fabrics are made differently… so they deserve different needles.
Once I started using the right needle for the right fabric and changing my needle regularly, I noticed:
🩷 Fewer skipped stitches
🧡 Smoother seams
💛 Less frustration
🖤 Better-looking finished garments
✨ Now I change my needle every 6–8 hours of sewing (or every couple of projects), and I switch needle types when I switch fabrics❣️
Trust me, queen… it’s one of the easiest upgrades you can make to your sewing.
💕 Sometimes it isn’t your machine.
💕 Sometimes it isn’t your fabric.
💕 Sometimes… it’s just time for a new needle 🪡
👇 Be honest… are you Team “I change my needles regularly” or Team “If it ain’t broke, I’m not touching it?” 😂
