Your waistband needs a comfort check. ✂️ Try this while you’re sewing: Before permanently joining your waistband elastic, overlap the ends and secure them with a safety pin. Try your skirt on, then sit, bend, and take a deep breath. Digging in? Let out a little elastic and test again. Aim for secure and comfortable without the skirt slipping down. 💡 If the fabric itself pulls tight across your belly or hips, longer elastic alone won’t fix it—the skirt needs more room there, too.
