It’s Winsday and we’re Winning❣️
What’s Your Win This Week? 🧵🪡Big wins. Tiny wins. Half-finished wins. 🧵🪡Maybe you finally threaded your machine without cussing. 🧵🪡Maybe you cut out a pattern. 🧵🪡Maybe you bought fabric you’ve been eyeing for months. ✨ Whatever it is, we want to celebrate with you! ✨ Drop your win below and let’s cheer each other on. Remember: Progress counts, even when perfection doesn’t. -B. Michele💕🦋🧵🪡 Wishing you a life filled with hearts 💕 butterflies 🦋 and the joy of creating your own kind of beautiful❣️ Because sewing is cheaper than therapy.🧵🪡
Iron is as important piece of equipment as your sewing machine❣️
🧵 Tip Tuesday Your iron is just as important as your sewing machine. If your seams look lumpy, wavy, or homemade… don’t sew faster. Press after every seam. Pressing (not ironing back and forth) helps: ✨ Make your projects look more professional. ✨ Keep fabric laying flat. ✨ Help pattern pieces line up better. ✨ Save you from ripping out stitches later. Think of it this way… You don’t wait until you’re finished cooking to season your food. You don’t wait until your project is finished to press your seams. 😉 💕 Small habits create beautiful garments. What are you working on this week? Drop it in the comments so we can celebrate your progress together! —B. Michele— 💕🦋Creative Empowerment Mentor❣️❣️ May you have a life filled with hearts 💕, butterflies 🦋, and the joy of creating your own kind of beautiful❣️ Because sewing is cheaper than therapy. 🧵💕

@Tammy Robinson I never prewash my fabric unless I know it’s the type that will shrink! But that being said who’s gonna prewash and iron this fabric? 😂

@Tammy Robinson actually billionaires! Because you’re right a lot of people hate that whole process! Then we can pay folks to do the laundry!
🧵 Sewcual Sunday❣️
🌸 Sewcial Sunday 💕 Sewcial Sunday Check-In 💕 Before we jump into another week… I want you to do something that might feel a little unusual. Rest. Not because you earned it, and you did❣️ Not because everything is finished, and it ain’t❣️ Because you deserve it❣️ Your sewing machine will still be there tomorrow. That project you’ve been avoiding? It’ll wait. The laundry… well… it’ll definitely wait. 😂 Today, pour yourself something you enjoy, put your feet up, watch a sewing video if you want—or don’t. Take a walk Read a book Call a friend Pet the dog Take a nap. Whatever fills your cup. Remember… ✨ Progress doesn’t only happen while you’re sewing. Sometimes the biggest stitch we make is mending ourselves❣️ As we head into this new week… 🦋 Give yourself grace❣️ 🧵Celebrate every little win❣️ 🪡Trust the process❣️ 💕 And never forget… Your body isn’t the problem… the clothes are❣️ I hope this week brings you confidence, creativity, and a little extra joy🦋💕 Now tell me… What are you doing today to refill your cup? ☕🦋💗

Sewcial Saturday
Let’s have a little coffee chat… What’s ONE sewing project you’ve been meaning to finish? We all have one… 🧵 The project in the tote bag. ✂️ The pattern that’s been cut but never sewn. 🪡 The garment waiting on “just one more step.” No judgment here, suga. 😆 Drop it in the comments and let’s cheer each other on! 🎉 Sometimes we blame our bodies when the real problem is perfection. We tell ourselves we’ll finish after we lose weight, after we get better, after we have more time… But progress beats perfection every single time. One seam, One pattern piece. It all counts. This is your reminder to STOP BLAMING YOUR BODY and keep creating for the beautiful one you have today❣️ Wishing a life filled with hearts 💕 butterflies 🦋 and the joy of creating your own kind of wonderful 🪡🧵 Because sewing is cheaper than therapy. 🪡🧵 —B. TODAY IS MORE THAN A DAY OFF❣️
On June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed, enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally learned they were free. Think about that. They had to wait for someone to tell them they were free, enslaved for two extra years. You don’t❣️ Don’t wait for permission. Don’t wait for validation. Don’t wait for someone else to tell you you’re good enough, talented enough, worthy enough, or ready enough. Walk in your freedom❣️ At Sewing Thru It, that freedom looks like refusing to blame your body for clothes that were never made with your curves in mind. It looks like learning a skill that lets you create what fits your life—not someone else’s standard❣️ Today, we honor the strength, resilience, and sacrifice of those who came before us. And we remember this: They waited two years free as $&@; and didn’t know it❣️because they had to. You don’t❣️ So create. Dream. Start the business. Learn the skill. Wear the clothes. Take up the space. Freedom isn’t just something we celebrate. It’s something we get to walk in every single day, that our ancestors didn’t get to do even when it was legal for them to. ❤️ Happy Juneteenth🦋 Smooches 😘 —B. Michele
