Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about consistency — especially when energy fluctuates. One thing I’ve learned the hard way is that trying to force “same output, every day” doesn’t actually lead to better results. It leads to burnout, guilt, and systems that fall apart the moment life gets real. So I’m shifting how I define consistency. Instead of doing everything, I’m focusing on a baseline: A bare minimum I can hit daily or weekly — even on low-energy days — so momentum doesn’t depend on perfect conditions. For me, that looks like: - Showing up to co-working - Making progress on assets (even if it’s just one step) - Prioritizing strategy or setup on days when creation isn’t available Some days are strategy days. Some days are creation or implementation days. Both still count. This is also why I’m building the Builder Board and moving toward low-lift systems — so progress continues without requiring high energy every day. I’ve let go of guilt around this. Feeling bad doesn’t create more capacity. Designing smarter does. If you’ve ever felt frustrated that your motivation or energy isn’t consistent, you’re not alone — and you’re not doing it wrong.
