Retatrutide's lipid lowering effect independent of LDLR
By this point we've all heard about Reta/Retatrutide. Safe to say by now it's also predominately known as a tool that simply helps with fat loss. Sometimes it doesn't even go beyond that for people to jump on board. There are some other really awesome mechanisms that are less spoken about when it comes to glucagon agonism, and that's the effect on lipid lowering via the ANGPTL 3/8 protein. Are you familiar with this?

Lab work
Question for you all: When’s the last time you had your labs drawn? What’s the biggest hurdle for you when getting them? Is it: - cost - Not knowing what labs/where to get them - The inconvenience of getting them done - Not knowing what to do with the information when you receive them - Anything else? Another question: What’s one thing you’d like to understand more when it comes to your labs? Need help ordering, or reviewing? That’s what I’m here for.
RCS presentation reflection
This past week I had the privilege to speak in front of personal trainers, PT's, nutritionists, doctors, and even non-medical professionals all in the same room. An entire group all with a shared common interest: actively participating in a passionately health-focused community all driven to elevate the value provided to our clients and audience. An incredibly enriching environment buzzing with an energy that's palpable. I've been to many conferences in the health space, but this is easily the most raw and authentic one I've been part of (even as a casual observer in the past). It's called the REAL Coaches Summit for a reason. You get real actionable value-adds you can implement immediately into your business. It might be a concept, a principle, an AI tool, or at the very least, a motivational push to level up in some way. Last year, when I was first asked to speak I was intimidated and almost backed out. Imposter syndrome got me down. But I knew that committing to this would force me to do a few things: - Step out of my comfort zone and do something challenging for myself. Growth doesn't come from staying in the comfort zone, so I made the commitment to do it knowing it would force me to level up. - Ensure I know what I'm talking about, but more importantly how to deliver valuable information in a digestible way (tough to do with some of these mechanisms). A self-check of how well I can communicate this information is what I was after. Understanding it myself is one thing, but effectively communicating that information to someone else is another. - Be less of an introvert. Network, speak to people in-person and not behind a screen. - Place myself in a position that allows opportunity to flow both to me or through me, for someone else to benefit. I am always looking for ways to learn more, expand professionally, and bolster the core reasons I am in this space to begin with. This opportunity succeeded in checking all those boxes. I'll be back again next year, that I'm sure of.

Welcome!
If you found me through the Real Coaches Summit - THANK YOU. Thank you 100x over. That was my first solo speaking engagement and I hope you found value in what I had to share. I haven't been great with content or getting my voice out there. The reality is I've just spent the last several years busy with clients, studying, & actually doing the work. And really, if I'm being honest, my social platform has mostly been my own physique enhancing journey with a few educational posts sprinkled in. (I suck at marketing, but hey, I'm working on it). If you caught my presentation on the second day, you heard the story I told about how I helped my client find out he has a prolactinoma (brain tumor). Stories like that aren't on my social media, nobody would ever know. The point is, where I fail on social media I like to think I make up for in what matters... actually coaching people/providing value. And that's why meeting you all has been incredible, because I know that's where we all align (thanks Aram). I wish I had the time to speak with each of you 1-1. But, hopefully this space allows you to connect with me, ask questions, or find valuable resources you can use to leverage results and elevate your coaching game. This community is where I'll be unpacking the science, sharing the journey, and answering the questions there wasn't time for on stage. More to come! My ask on this post: Drop the one takeaway from the talk that hit hardest.
