You're Not Behind
Happy Friday my dear family. What a week! I would like to share a thought I spoke about in counseling this week and it's been on my mind a lot...
I've been thinking about the source of pressure. Yes, sometimes it's the hand of God heavy upon us to take an action, but a lot of times as creators we experience this pressure from expectations we created ourselves.
We tell ourselves we should have a certain number of subscribers by now. We should be more AI integrated. We should be making a certain amount of money. We should be further along than we are...
Sometimes the mental barriers we're fighting aren't even rooted in our circumstances. They're rooted in the expectations we've placed on those circumstances.
I'm learning that there's a lot of peace in becoming more process-oriented than results-oriented.
Instead of asking, "Am I where I thought I'd be by now?" ask, "Am I being faithful with what's in front of me today?"
You can control your inputs. You cannot always control your outputs.
You can control how consistently you show up, how intentionally you improve, and how faithfully you steward what God has entrusted to you.
But you can't always control how quickly or effectively those efforts produce results.
And maybe that's part of what faithfulness looks like. Committing yourself to the process for as long as you believe God has called you to it, even when the results don't arrive on your preferred timeline.
COMMIT.
Don't let an imaginary deadline convince you that you're failing at a calling God never put an expiration date on.
As we enter the weekend, I want to center our minds on FAITH. We are cherished children of the Most High God and what possibly could be a greater achievement than that?
I wish we could all get together on Sunday and praise God together, but for now, it'll have to be from a distance (unless you're in Dallas and want to pull up to Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship 😂).
I love y'all!! We're committed to the journey not the results!! ❤️

2 1/2 years ago I left my job as the head content creator of a Christian clothing company. I had no place to go and no real plan, but my friend let me setup my desk in his garage. I worked out of that non-air conditioned garage through a Texas summer until I closed some other contracts and moved into my own apartment. This was before God led me to start posting on Youtube.
2 1/2 years later I have A/C where I work now 😂 TRUST HIS PROCESS ✝️
