One of my favourite stores to buy from
Hipstamp is a site that has gone downhill over the last few years. The quality of images has declined, pricing is often hilarious, and yet bargains are to be found. The American Philatelic Society (APS) funnels all its members sales through Hipstamp, and quite frankly they haven't got much of a clue about anything non-US related https://www.hipstamp.com/store/aps-stamp-store
Here's two examples that I received today.
Pic 1 - Croatia 1943 18k+9k overprinted, catalogue value £14, sold to me for $4. But, see the little "S" in the window on the second image? That's an engraver's mark which appeared on a few stamps in each sheet. Retail value $40
Pic 2 - GB 1865 4d Vermilion plate 11, catalogue value is £90, but readily available everywhere at £10, sold to me for $10. The postmark however is from the British post office in St Thomas, Danish West Indies, which catalogues as "from" £50. I'll sell this for around $35
Easy money again.
