I just had a call with the SWEETEST couple who mentioned that there was no way that they would feel comfortable making an investment on their first call since I'm essentially a "stranger" to them. After 10 minutes of making them feel at ease and building rapport, the sales resistance completely dropped and they made payment on the call.
When sales becomes a process of genuinely helping prospects through their objections, concerns or blockers - we have to do this from a place of genuine care rather than "I just need this persons money." This perspective shift alone helped me to overcome objections in a much more fluid way on my sales calls.
