๐Ÿงต From wonky yarn ball to quilt squares โ€” progress, not perfection ๐Ÿ˜…
Soโ€ฆ I tried to up my crochet game recently. psst ๐Ÿ˜…
The plan: make a cute little gnome.
The reality: a weird, squishy ball with a very long tail of unraveled yarn. ๐Ÿ˜‚
Clearly, crochet and I needed a break.
So now, Iโ€™ve started learning quilting โ€” the paper piece method โ€” and honestly? Iโ€™m kind of loving it.
Itโ€™s slow (because Iโ€™m hand-sewing instead of using a machine), but thereโ€™s something really calming about the rhythm of it.
Each stitch feels like a tiny act of patience. Each new piece that's added to the whole looks good and I feel good when I look at it.
And, Iโ€™m not rushing to finish...Iโ€™m just letting myself enjoy the process.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Your turn: whatโ€™s something creative youโ€™ve tried lately and maybe didnโ€™t go quite as planned?
๐Ÿ’ฌ Bonus round: Drop an emoji that sums up your last crafty attempt! If you have a pic, even bettter!
๐Ÿงถ = โ€œit kinda worked!โ€
๐Ÿ”ฅ = โ€œsend help, itโ€™s on fireโ€
๐Ÿ’ช = โ€œnailed it (eventually)โ€
๐Ÿ˜‚ = โ€œweโ€™re calling it abstract artโ€
