My introduction:
Howdy to the Self-Unemployed,
I’m gonna be 58 years old in about 2 weeks, and this year is my 40th High School reunion which is scheduled sometime this Summer. Oh how time flies!
I started working at my Aunt & Uncle’s Chinese Restaurant when I was 14 years old. I just help out in the kitchen, and put orders into the little elevator which goes to the 2nd floor. My pay was $4… / hour in 1982. 😅 I get a share of the tips from the waiters & waitress. On big events like weddings for about 200 guests I can get $100… in tips! Good times! 😎 I worked there for 5 years, and only on the weekends.
Over the years I have tried many systems or programs to be my own boss! They all failed like with my Amazon Affiliate Marketing program, and with TikTok shop. I just don’t have a big enough following! I contacted some big name brands such as Lululemon, and you need a minimum of 10,000 followers to get in!
So the goal now is try, and do something to make money online to pay for my retirement early! I personally know a bunch of people who died before their retirement day! One of my friends was planning on working 2-3 months more! One day he was at a gas station filling up his car to get to work when he was killed by a heart attack! Others die from cancer, or other fatal diseases / illnesses. I just found out today that one of my fellow coworkers from about 30-40 years ago has died. She was much younger than me, and maybe by 10 years. Her funeral is on Super Bowl 60 day ( February 8, 2026 ).
So cheers to the rest of us trying to survive in this crazy world! 🍾😎🥂🍻
