This gesture interrupts unconscious reactivity. ➡️ Step 2—Notice What Is Happening (40 seconds) Gently ask: "What is being experienced right now?" Notice: • thoughts • emotions • body sensations • environmental sounds Do not analyze. Just observe. Silently label: "Thinking…" "Feeling…" "Sensation…" You are training the nervous system to recognize awareness. ➡️ Step 3—Rest as the Observer (40 seconds) Now shift attention slightly backward. Imagine awareness becoming wider. Instead of being inside the experience… You are aware of the experience. The experience is similar to observing waves from the shore. Silently repeat: "I am the awareness noticing this moment."
