Every Valley Raised
Isaiah 40:4
“Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain.”
When we think about this, the valleys in our lives can feel like the lowest places, the times of despair, distance, and struggle.
The mountains can feel like the opposite, the high places, the moments where everything seems strong, where we feel like we are on top of the world.
But this Scripture speaks of something different.
It says the valleys will be raised, and the mountains brought low.
Not so everything becomes empty
but so everything is brought into alignment.
It is not about removing every high and every low in our lives,
but about removing what stands in the way.
If there is a mountain that feels impossible to face, He can bring it low.
If there is a valley where you feel distant from His presence, He can raise it up.
What feels uneven
what feels extreme
what feels like it separates you from Him
He levels.
He makes a way.
The rough places become smooth.
The rugged places become plain.
It is the work of God to prepare the way
to remove obstacles, to lift what is low, and to bring down what stands too high.
Not to make everything the same
but to make a clear path to Him.
