I'm relatively new to the crypto world, and I'm curious what options people use for buying and holding. I've used cryptodotcom over the past year, but I don't love the app. It seems like it's hard to move your coins.

I flew helicopter EMS for years. You learn fast that the injury someone points at is rarely the one that kills them. A patient tells you it's their arm. You keep looking anyway. Somewhere under the obvious complaint is the constraint that actually matters, the one bleed that decides whether they make it. Most successful people over 45 are doing the same thing to themselves. They point at the wrong problem. They say it's time. It's not time. They say it's motivation. It's not motivation. They built a life that looks finished from the outside, and it still feels like they haven't arrived. That has a name. A false summit. You climbed hard, you're standing somewhere, and it isn't the top. Here's what I've learned treating human performance instead of trauma. Four pillars hold up everything you're building. Body. Mind. People. Work. A deficit in one caps the other three. You cannot think clearly on four hours of sleep. You cannot be present with people while running on cortisol. You cannot build anything durable from a depleted body. Most people try to fix all four at once. That's why most people stay stuck. You don't need balance. You need to find the one pillar that's actually capping you, and put everything into that one first. I built a short diagnostic to do exactly that. Fourteen questions, four minutes. It scores your four pillars and tells you which one is the real constraint, plus the smallest move that breaks it. If you're successful on paper and still feel capped, take it: https://false-summit-audit.lovable.app What's actually capping you right now? Body, mind, people, or work. Answer honestly, not aspirationally. #SecondPeak #Reinvention #HumanPerformance

You Will Never Master AI. That Is Not the Goal.
Stop trying to keep up. You cannot. Nobody can. These tools change monthly. The person who was an expert in March is running outdated tactics by August. Every course you buy is stale before you finish it. That is not a knock on the courses. That is the pace. So drop the mastery frame. It is the wrong target and chasing it is why most of you have three unfinished tutorials and a subscription you barely use. Here is the better question. Not "how do I master this." Just: what can this thing actually do for me right now? Then ask it. Directly. It will tell you. Most people never do. They guess at the edges of the tool and stay inside a tiny box they drew themselves. They use a system capable of reading a hundred pages and reasoning through it to write email subject lines. Run this the next time you open Claude or ChatGPT. Paste it in cold, first message of a new chat. PROMPT: Before we start, give me an honest breakdown of what you can actually do right now. Search the web for your own current documentation so this reflects your latest version and not whatever was true when you were trained. Tell me: - Which tools you have turned on in this conversation - How much I can hand you at once. File sizes, page counts, how much you hold before you start losing the thread - What you are genuinely good at, and where you fall down - Three things I probably do not know you can do Then read it. Slowly. Most of you will find at least one capability you did not know existed, and it will be more useful than anything you were planning to use it for today. Do it again in ninety days. The answer will be different. That is the entire point. You do not master the tool. You audit it, you take what applies to your work, and you move. Body, mind, relationships, work. Every one of those has a job in it that a machine can carry so you can spend your attention on the part that actually requires you. Drop your answer in the comments. I want to see what it told you and which capability surprised you most.

Why This Community Exists
I got to the top of that climb around 50 and found out it was a ridge, not a summit. The credential was real. The identity was a costume. That's not a midlife crisis. It's a false summit, and almost every high performer hits one. Meanwhile AI is quietly rewriting what credentialed work is even worth. Second Peak is where I'm building the second half in public. Body, mind, relationships, work. Systems that actually run, not frameworks nobody executes.
Start Here
Welcome to Second Peak. Read this, then post one thing. Here's the short version of why this room exists. I spent twenty years in emergency medicine. Good career. Then around 50 I got to the top of the climb and found out it was a ridge, not a summit. The credential was real. The identity was a costume. Turns out that's not a midlife crisis. It's a false summit, and almost every high performer hits one. Meanwhile AI is quietly rewriting what credentialed work is even worth. So this is where we build the second half. Body, mind, relationships, work. Systems that actually run, not frameworks nobody executes. Do this now, before you scroll anything else. Post an intro in the Introductions category. Three lines, that's the whole thing: 1. Where you are and what you did for the last twenty years. 2. The one thing you're rebuilding right now. 3. The specific thing blocking it. That's it. Two minutes. I read every one and I answer every one. Three rules. Post the work, not the plan. Give before you ask. Respect the rebuild. Everyone here is a beginner at something new and accomplished at something old. That combination is the whole point. Ask the question you think you should already know the answer to. That's the one worth asking. Now go post your intro. I'll see you in the comments.
