Lots of people will have heard about how AI can write software, and it can, but getting useable software out of platforms is diificult. Firstly, there are vibe coding platforms with things like Replit, Loveable and Base44, which are great at proving an idea can work, like a minimum viable product, but they have massive flaws in them. The first is that you are often tied into proprietary platforms that will limit their use and development in future. In other words, they are not really production systems that you can use or rely on in business. The second is vibe coding itself. You have your first draft application or website, and you just want to tweak a few things so it is just right. Two things can happen, either you can never write the perfect prompt that will just change it how yuo want it to, or more frustratingly, it updates or deletes some functionality you were happy with and didn't want it to touch. The result is you end up going round in circles trying to get something very simple achieved. The alternative to this are things like BMAD, which is a system based on the traditional Agile Software Development Methodology. This is perfectly sound and it is easy to walk your way through it. However you need to have a lot of technical knowledge to get anywhere: - Install and set up Visual Studio with the appropriate plug ins - Download the repository from GitHub - Understand how Agile works So I have set up my Software for All, where I make BMAD more user friendly you just access it from a website, which guides you through it. I will be looking for guinea pigs to test it once it is in a useable format (later this year 2026), so please let me know.
