DIY Guide to How To Fix ANY E-Scooter Flat Tire Wheel - *Start here*
*START HERE* with our Sizing Guide:
Your e-scooter's wheel is either "pneumatic" or "non-pneumatic." This means that you either put air in them and there is an Inner Tube and an Outer Tire; OR you do not and therefore it would be a solid rubber or solid plastic tire.
"Pneumatic" tires are better because they provide the resistance and shock value and the 'riding on air' feeling.
Plastic Non-pneumatic tires are close to junk, and if your e-scooter is "non-pneumatic," you will have a tough time installing new solid rubber tires because it requires a large amount of force from a specific "crank" machine that is only offered in China.
If your e-scooter is pneumatic, congratulations! You made a better consumer decision, but perhaps the tire went flat on you, well now you can fix it yourself with the help of this guide.
Your e-scooter outer tire (the rubber) will have numbers on it. Those numbers will either have American Values i.e. numbers in inches(") OR 2 or 3 ' aspect ratio' numbers.
For instance : 8.5" x 2" or "Eight and a half Inches by Two Inches" is the same as a ' 50/75-6.1' And the tire may only say one of these things on it.
Scooter Operations has thus come up with size categories and sizes for MOST if not ALL pneumatic e-scooter wheels. Maybe in the list below you can find your specific e-scooter model that we have fixed and filmed in our "Virtual Repairs Shop." OR MAYBE in the list below can find the same size tire from a comparable e-scooter model to yours as the e-scooter brand and model market is extremely saturated.
From there, Go our Classroom, where you will find full-scale videos on how to dismantle your e-scooter wheel, replace the inner tube and fix your flat tire from start to finish.
Each and every lesson is broken down into 2 Parts where in Part 1 we take the wheel and tire off and apart and out and identify the tube and order it and in Part 2 we "Put Humpty Dumpty back together again," or re-assembling the e-scooter so it becomes ridable.
