My LinkedIn Dm strategy to close inbound leads - Part 2
In my last post, I shared how I closed $5000+ worth inbound leads from LinkedIn using just lead magnets.
But that was just half of the process.
Let me explain my DM strategy to close the remaining prospects.
After I send a DM, I look at their profile. If it's my ICP or I can help them, I personalize the message and ask a very simple question:
"X, where are you thinking of using this automation?"
Just that... After they respond, I have another lead magnet ready with a Loom video that I created a year ago.
I share it with them and say it will be helpful.
After that, I ask the reason why they want to automate (dream outcome).
After these two conversations, sometimes the conversation goes dead, and sometimes it continues.
If it goes dead, after 2 days, I follow up with an offer to help them set up the automation to achieve their dream outcome.
If the conversation continues, I ask for permission to ask 3 questions to understand them better. Then I ask:
Q1: X, how much money have you allocated to solve this problem?
Q2: X, when do you want to solve this problem?
Q3: X, tell me about your current process.
Just the answers to these three questions tell me their budget, when they want to start, and their current process to see if I can automate it.
One thing to remember: after they answer, don’t immediately ask another question. First, mention their answer, associate it with a previous client trait and social proof, and then ask the next question.

After they answer the 3 questions, I offer them a small 15-minute call to help them.
This is my simple strategy, and yes, I build relationships with them by engaging in the comment sections of their posts
