The Power of Showing Up Consistently
I want to highlight the importance of creating posts and getting your name out there—even when you’re unsure how they’ll be received.
Recently, it was brought to my attention that a gas station is being built in Divernon, IL. For those unfamiliar with the area, Divernon currently doesn’t have a gas station. Years ago there were two, but it’s been a long time since the town had one.
I shared a few aerial progress photos along with an orthomosaic PDF progress report in a local Facebook group. I didn’t expect the post to gain much traction.
Three days later, it reached 7,000 views.
That experience was a strong reminder that you never truly know how much your community appreciates what you provide—especially when you share something informative and well-presented.
What may feel routine to you can be incredibly valuable to others.
The takeaway: keep posting, keep documenting, and keep doing what you love. The impact is often bigger than you realize.
