You Never Know Who’s Watching Until You Post
The Power of Showing Up Consistently I want to highlight the importance of creating posts and getting your name out there—even when you’re unsure how they’ll be received. Recently, it was brought to my attention that a gas station is being built in Divernon, IL. For those unfamiliar with the area, Divernon currently doesn’t have a gas station. Years ago there were two, but it’s been a long time since the town had one. I shared a few aerial progress photos along with an orthomosaic PDF progress report in a local Facebook group. I didn’t expect the post to gain much traction. Three days later, it reached 7,000 views. That experience was a strong reminder that you never truly know how much your community appreciates what you provide—especially when you share something informative and well-presented. What may feel routine to you can be incredibly valuable to others. The takeaway: keep posting, keep documenting, and keep doing what you love. The impact is often bigger than you realize.

First Adobe Stock Payout: Why Drone Pilots Should Be Uploading
I wanted to share a quick win with the community—especially for the drone pilots here. The other day, I received my first Adobe Stock Contributor payout that was more than $1 🎉 It may not sound huge, but it’s proof that the system works and that passive income from your existing footage is possible. For drone pilots, Adobe Stock is a solid way to: - Showcase your portfolio - Put unused footage to work - Build long-term passive income - Getting started is straightforward: - Create an Adobe Stock Contributor account - Follow their submission guidelines closely - Upload photos and videos (aerial footage is in demand right now) - A few things to know: - No watermarks allowed - Videos must meet length and quality requirements - Every submission is reviewed and either approved or rejected - There’s a weekly upload limit - Reviews can take a few days - I haven’t seen any limit on how large your portfolio can be, so once you understand what Adobe accepts, upload consistently. The more quality content you have live, the better your odds of earning. Right now, Adobe Stock is actively seeking aerial footage—which is great news for anyone flying drones. If you already have footage sitting on hard drives, this is worth exploring.

Advertising What It Is That You Do
Hello Folks, Do you ever find yourself feeling that you are not gaining traction? That all of your hard work goes unnoticed? Typically, these things take time and the best thing you can do is stay consistent. Post your work every week - on the same day, if you can. That way your followers know what day they should expect your information. I myself am guilty of not being consistent with the days that I post on. Must practice what I preach. In the past I would post my footage to the community, without showing them who was behind the scenes. Turns out that people want to feel that connection. One of the things that I started incorporating is a brief intro of who I am, where I am and what I am doing - also mention what they have to look forward to. By having a face to go with the data / footage that I am providing, I have noticed a jump in views. People really do want to see a face to the name. This helps to make you more personal. Also, this builds up the suspense for the viewer in anticipation of what they may see from the air. While I continue to have these short intro clips, I have recently started creating advertisements as well. A helpful tidbit is to think as a potential client and/or community member. What does a client receive from SC Handy Drones? What goes into making these shots? How do I do what you do? Below is my most recent advertisement - demonstrating what a construction/project manager may see and what SC Handy Drones' services can provide to them.

A Simple Way Drone Pilots Can Start Earning
If you’ve got a drone, there’s real opportunity right now to turn your flights into sellable assets. Adobe Stock is actively looking for aerial photos and video. That means the time you spend out flying can do more than just sit on a hard drive. You get to: - Hone your photography and video skills - Spend time outdoors doing something you already enjoy - Build a professional portfolio - Earn passive income when your footage sells If you’re a drone pilot and not already uploading to Adobe Stock, it’s worth starting now. Even simple, well-shot aerials of landscapes, infrastructure, agriculture, or small towns add up over time. Fly with intention. Capture clean footage. Build your library. Your drone can work for you long after you land.

🚧 Maynerich Financial Build – Continued Progress Update! 🚧
Last week we shared a sneak peek of the ongoing work at the Maynerich Financial project as Midwest Construction wrapped up roof work and began prepping the interior. Today, we’re excited to follow up with a 3D model walkthrough created from that same stage of progress! Using SC Handy Drones’ aerial capture and modeling capabilities, we’re able to document each step of the build with precision, clarity, and a full visual perspective that goes beyond standard photos or videos. This model showcases the exact conditions from last week’s update—preserved in a dynamic, interactive format. Every project has a story, and 3D documentation brings that story to life. 📐✨Stay tuned—more updated footage is on the way as this unique design continues taking shape.
