To my healers and upcoming healers There comes a moment when you finally understand who you are as a healer, oracle, or spiritual guide and everything shifts. We weren’t created to struggle. We weren’t meant to operate at the bottom. Spiritually gifted people were once some of the most valued members of society. People traveled miles to sit at our feet. Kings, leaders, and entire communities sought our insight. We were given resources, land, protection, and offerings because our gifts kept nations aligned. Somewhere along the way, society tried to convince spiritual women especially women of color that our gifts should be free, that our labor should be ignored, and that our energy should be poured out with no return. But let’s be clear Healers have always been wealthy. Oracles have always been respected. Rootworkers, seers, and conjure women were never optional they were essential. So when people try to shame spiritual workers for charging, it tells me they don’t know history and they don’t respect the lineage they’re speaking on. My gifts are valuable. My insight is valuable. My energy is valuable. And the moment you realize that your role is sacred AND sought after, you stop lowering yourself to fit people’s misunderstandings. Spirit didn’t give you these gifts to keep you broke. Spirit gave you these gifts so you could serve and be sustained while doing it.
