This is something I've been thinking about a lot lately. I know professional athletes often do. But do you treat a part of your year as an off season? If so, how do you approach running during this time? What else do you focus on? When is it typically and how long does it last? Even though I hate that it's dark, my best running is during the colder months. I'm used to running all year round (and I never even used to do deload weeks) but being injured for a long time has had me reconsidering my approach. My summer right now consists of consistent 5k's and I'll probably be doing that until somewhere in august. But I am also in the gym a lot and swimming as well. How do you treat the "off season"?
