Magic Beyond Tricks — Foundation 02: Build Your Magic Repertoire is now available inside the Classroom at Ruiz Magic Academy. ✨ In Foundation 01, we talked about being ready when opportunity comes. Now comes the next question: How do we actually prepare? In this Foundation, we begin by doing something simple — but extremely important: Make an inventory of your magic. The class introduces two essential lists: ✅ What I Can Perform Now ✨ What I Want to Perform The first is your current repertoire — material you could genuinely perform in front of an audience tomorrow. The second represents your future repertoire — techniques, routines, ideas and material you still want to develop. We also explore why it is important to organize your repertoire according to the type of work you do — close-up, parlor, stage, manipulation, mentalism, children’s magic, grand illusion, or whatever categories make sense for you professionally. 🎭 Because knowing many tricks does not necessarily mean having the right material ready for the right situation. One of the central ideas of this class is simple: Real progress is not how many secrets you know. It is how much material you have transformed into something you can truly perform. And instead of trying to finish everything at once, choose something. One routine. One technique. Five new minutes. Finish it — and move it from What I Want to Perform to What I Can Perform Now. 🌎 ENGLISH First of all, I want to thank you. Ruiz Magic Academy is a new project being built from the ground up, and those of you who are here today are literally watching it grow from its earliest stage. You are the first members of this Academy, and that means something very special to me. I appreciate your trust, your patience and your willingness to be part of something that is still being created, organized and improved. I also want to explain more clearly what Premium, The Art of Parasol Magic, and Ruiz Magic Academy as a whole will become. ☂️ The Art of Parasol Magic is not a finished course It is not one video lesson, and it is not a closed course with a fixed number of classes already waiting inside a library. It is a complete training program that will continue growing progressively. I have accumulated many years of material, techniques, methods, ideas and professional experience with parasols. My goal is not simply to upload that material. My goal is to organize it, structure it pedagogically and teach it in a way that allows one principle to prepare you for the next one. That is why we began with the Foundations: Umbrella Vocabulary · Precise Handling · Visual Angles · understanding the parasol as a magical object · preparation · control · awareness. Now Lesson 01 is available, and this is where the deeper technical work begins with loops, trouser work, loading systems, preparation, methods and techniques. I have already begun working toward Lesson 02, and there is still an enormous amount of Parasol Magic material ahead. But Parasol Magic is only one part of what I want this Academy to become. 🎩 What we will study over time There are many areas I want to develop progressively inside Ruiz Magic Academy: 🃏 Card Productions & Manipulation — including original productions, techniques and ideas I have developed over the years. 🕊️ Dove Magic — handling, productions, concealment, practical experience and professional stage work. 🎩 Topit Work & Loading Systems — including Topit techniques, sleeve work and other practical methods of loading and concealment.
