Hey Everyone,

I wanted to go through and give some updates as far as payment options and questions about the store. This is going to be a long post please take the time to read it in full.

Step One is not going anywhere. We will continue to stay small, limit promotions and advertising, keep costs as low as possible, and try to stay out of sight of the big guys. That being said the war against our industry continues. Most payment processors and social media are either owned by the same people that own BigP or they are scared of a suit from those people so they do not allow our industry to run payments.

Venmo/Paypal have shut down my business and personal accounts which really stinks for everyday life with a family outside of this business.

We have multiple payment options in the works. Behind the scenes of our industry, as a whole, there are payment processing companies and coders constantly trying to innovate to bring payment processing back to our industry bc they know they can charge us a fortune and there is a massive amount of revenue across the sector for them if they succeed.

The reason people are having declines are based on the security of the card being used and the Merchant Code the charge falls under. Here is an article from Mercuryo on merchant codes https://mercuryo.io/explore/article/merchant-category-codes For the Card to Crypto Gateway Roughly 50% of CCs will decline. Another 25% will prompt for verification via email, text, or built in card portal. Using a card on Apple Pay or Google Pay has a higher approval rate.

If a card or payment option fails try a different card or option.

A full list of payment options will be given below in detail:

Zelle - This is the best and easiest option. Most banks have a $500 or $1000 max daily send. Our zelle is newer so your bank may want to confirm you arent falling for a scam.

2. eDebit(eCheck) - This takes 1-2 days to process and works with most banks. It verifies you have the funds and deposits a check on your behalf into our account.

3. Debit Card/Apple Pay via Coinbase - We have seen over 75% approval rate with this method - Pay by Debit card/Apple Pay via Coinbase (500.00 limit without KYC) This is an automated process that purchases and sends crypto for payment without you having to do anything.

4. Credit Card via Google/Apple Pay and Mercuryo - We have seen a 50% approval rate on this when adding a CC to Google/Apple Pay and using that to process payment. Pay By Apple Pay/Google Pay/ Credit Card via Mercuryo (up to $700.00 without KYC). This is an automated process that purchases and sends crypto for payment without you having to do anything. You will recieve 3 e-mails from Mercuryo after the payment is complete as the system buys and sends your purchase. 5. Credit Card via CPY * Cheq Pay MX - We see a 75% approval rate on this. This is a processor in MX that processes a transaction coverting to USD before sending to Step One. This is an international transaction therefore your card may not allow it or might charge you a fee depending on your card agreement.

6. Affirm Pay in 4 - Just this morning our merchant account I applied for last night was approved. Anyone interested in Pay in 4. Please give this a try and let us know how it goes.
