When I needed to slow down, I remembered this verse.
Habakkuk 2:3 (NLT) “This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.”
This verse met me differently this past year.
I used to read “slow” as something that needed to be fixed — a sign that I wasn’t doing enough or moving fast enough. Over time, I began to understand that God’s pace is not a problem to solve, but a rhythm to trust.
Waiting patiently didn’t mean standing still or giving up. It meant learning to release control, resist rushing outcomes, and remain faithful in the present moment. Slowing down created space for prayer, reflection, and deeper awareness of where God was already at work.
This verse reminded me that God is not late, even when His timing feels slow. What He promises will be fulfilled — not according to my urgency, but according to His purpose.
