Welcome!
About 8 years ago I almost lost my partner, due to my erratic behaviour (aka peri-menopausal rage, lol), and I didn't know where to turn. I stopped recognizing myself. My body was changing in ways I didn't have words for, and the world around me had exactly one explanation on offer: you're just getting older. Losing your edge. Losing "it," whatever "it" was. My friends meant well and still didn't get it. My family didn't get it. For a while, I didn't get it either. I just knew something in me was slipping, at the exact moment I needed to be steady for my sanity and the people I loved. I didn't realize these were peri-menopausal symptoms... What brought me back wasn't a supplement or a hack. It was nature. Time outside, on trails and in forests, doing the quiet unglamorous work of just being a body in a season, the way every living thing around me was doing. Nature doesn't panic about dormancy. It doesn't call the fallow months a failure. It just keeps going, on its own timeline, trusting that what looks like less, is often the plant doing its most important work underground. Deepening it's roots. I'm on the other side of that now, and here's the part nobody warned me about: post-menopause, I feel more energized to create than I have in decades. I have more to say (no holding back), more to give, more ideas I want to build, than I did at 35. That process is also where my coaching programs came from. I took what I know from decades of guiding people through forests, permaculture principles, and the foundations of the Women's Centered Coaching method. These use nature-led strategies, are also behind my business growth consulting work as well. I built this community, Wisdom Academy, because I want other women to know that every ache, every foggy morning, every moment you feel like you're disappearing: none of it is the end of the story, and none of it has to be carried alone. It can be helped. It can even become the ground you grow from next. That's what this community is for 💚

What is your favorite nature spot?
Introduce yourself - and post a photo of you in your favorite spot in nature. It could be a view you look at out your window, a place you like to go for a walk, a tree you enjoy seeing, a garden, your patio or a city greenspace...this is my favorite morning coffee spot, with my cat 😻
