His Timing is Greater Than Ours | John 11:1-44
Key moment: "Jesus wept" / “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?”
Devotional: When Lazarus fell sick, his sisters sent word to Jesus—but Jesus didn't come. He waited. And Lazarus died. Martha and Mary were heartbroken, confused, maybe even angry. "If you had been here, our brother would not have died." But Jesus had a greater plan. He wasn't late—He was right on time for a resurrection. Sometimes God's delays aren't denials. Sometimes He's waiting because He's preparing something bigger than what we asked for. Our timing says "rescue me now." His timing says, "watch what I can do."
Reflection: Where are you waiting on God right now, wondering why He hasn't shown up yet? How does the story of Lazarus challenge you to trust God's timing even when it doesn't make sense?
Prayer Prompt: Bring your frustration and your waiting to God honestly. Ask Him to help you trust that His delays have purpose, and pray for faith to believe He's working even when you can't see it.
