Start by finding attention and make the group quiet.
Rub your hands. Start fast and with force.
Now rub soft and slow.
Now only feel the energy of your hands. And move them around 2cm apart.
Massage your head.
Gently rub and touch your face
Gently touch the ears and clean them like you’re pulling something out.
Then you’re all set! Listen together and discuss at the same time:
1) What is the sound the most far away you can hear outside the classroom?
A car? Playing children? The wind?
2) What can you hear at the corridor? Or in the classrooms next to ours?
3) What can you hear in our classroom? A ticking clock? The airconditioning?
4) What can you hear in you’re body? Your breath? Your heartbeat?
This exercise makes kids embodied and aware of there presence. And it creates focus. All very grounding.
