Hello everyone, I am Kevin, based around Austin/Leander. I am mostly a road rider (some gravel and mountain bike) and I am in that happily-obsessive phase of trying to get stronger in a systematic way: lots of structured work, plenty of Zone 2, and trying to do the boring fundamentals well (sleep, consistency, nutrition).
I am also a scientist by day (and some nights) (biochem/cancer drug discovery, with a bit of an obsession with protein synthesis - i.e. how it is regulated), so I tend to home in on 'what’s the mechanism?'- whether that’s training adaptations, fatigue, or why one setup feels calm in crosswinds and another doesn't.
I am genuinely looking forward to learning from the group.
