Here’s something important to understand about the healing journey…
The goal isn’t to never get triggered again.
The goal is to recognise what’s happening when you do.
In the past, a trigger might have pulled you straight into reaction:Shutting down.People pleasing.Anger.Overthinking.
But when you begin doing this work, something starts to change.
You create a small space between the trigger and your response.
And in that space, you get a choice.
A choice to respond differently.A choice to stay present.A choice to not abandon yourself the way you might have done in the past.
So today, pay attention to those moments.
Not to judge yourself, just to notice.
Because every time you become aware in that moment, you’re rewriting the script.
