Late night thoughts
I recently had someone ask me how to move past the feeling of feeling completely lost.
What I can say for certain is that it is completely normal and everyone feels them. It’s ultimately how you choose to look at them and handle them.
I believe they’re the quiet we all prayed for- the peace we craved when life was go go go and then boom there it is. We cannot control when it comes. And if you’re dysregulated, your nervous system will freak out because it’s wired for fight or flight. So doing nothing during these quiet moments feels like you’re failing, and then you feel lost.
What I did was rewire my brain to be at ease during these times. To enjoy them, to be grateful. This helped regulate my nervous system during those moments.
Ideas can flow in, creativity sparks, answers you’ve been searching for finally comes through.
I made the decision to stop calling it “lost” and to see it as a limiting belief allowed me to then see it as freedom to just be.
It took time building those new neural pathways but it is possible to go from feeling lost to actually enjoy peace and the freedom of just being.
