Move Your Body, Change Your Life
One of the biggest shifts I've made over the years is embracing movement as a way of life rather than something I have to squeeze into a workout. I don't believe our bodies were designed to sit for hours on end. We were made to walk, stretch, squat, climb, dance, carry, play, and be in relationship with the natural world. Daily movement isn't just about fitness, it's about energy, mood, longevity, nervous system regulation, and feeling truly alive. That's why I choose to live an active lifestyle where I'm moving throughout the day instead of relying on one intense gym session to make up for hours of sitting. Every morning, I begin my day with one of the most powerful practices I know: Sun Salutations followed by meditation. The movement sequence itself takes only about 11 minutes, yet it gently warms the entire body, mobilizes the joints, builds strength, improves flexibility, and invites you into the present moment. It has been practiced for generations for a reason, it works. And here's the best part: you don't need to be a yogi, athletic, or flexible to begin. You simply need a willingness to show up and start where you are. That's why I've included this practice in our Welcome Lesson here in Revibe. If you haven't watched it yet, I encourage you to give it a try this week. Then come back and share your experience in the comments. How did your body feel? How did your mind feel? What did you notice? Small, consistent practices have a way of transforming our lives in ways we never expect. 🌞
