Your outreach strategy is broken.
Here’s how to fix it.
If your messages are getting ignored, it’s not because LinkedIn is “too saturated.”
It’s because you’re still doing things the old way.
Stop doing this:
❌ Sending cold DMs with no context. If they’ve never seen your name before, why would they reply?
❌ Using cringe personalization. “I see you do great work in [industry]” isn’t personal—it’s lazy.
❌ Pitching in the first message. Nobody wants to be “pitch slapped.”
❌ Thinking volume > quality. Spamming 100 random people is a great way to burn through leads—not book calls.
Do this instead:
✅ Start with content-led outreach – Show up on their feed before you show up in their inbox. If they’ve seen your name a few times, your message isn’t “cold”—it’s familiar.
✅ Follow first, then connect – When you follow first, LinkedIn sends a message that says "Tiffany follows you and would now like to connect." That feels natural. A straight connection request? Not so much.
✅ Send blank connection requests – Messages in connection requests scream “I’m about to sell you something.” Blank requests create intrigue and get accepted at a MUCH higher rate.
✅ Engage before you DM – Commenting on their post? Smart. Liking every post they’ve ever written? Creepy.
✅ Offer insane value first – Give them something genuinely helpful BEFORE you ask for anything. A free resource, a quick insight, something that makes them think, “Wow, this is actually useful.”
Outreach isn’t dead.
Bad outreach is.
Are you still stuck in the old way of doing things? Or are you ready to level up?
