Your outreach strategy is broken.
Hereโ€™s how to fix it. If your messages are getting ignored, itโ€™s not because LinkedIn is โ€œtoo saturated.โ€ Itโ€™s because youโ€™re still doing things the old way. Stop doing this: โŒ Sending cold DMs with no context. If theyโ€™ve never seen your name before, why would they reply? โŒ Using cringe personalization. โ€œI see you do great work in [industry]โ€ isnโ€™t personalโ€”itโ€™s lazy. โŒ Pitching in the first message. Nobody wants to be โ€œpitch slapped.โ€ โŒ Thinking volume > quality. Spamming 100 random people is a great way to burn through leadsโ€”not book calls. Do this instead: โœ… Start with content-led outreach โ€“ Show up on their feed before you show up in their inbox. If theyโ€™ve seen your name a few times, your message isnโ€™t โ€œcoldโ€โ€”itโ€™s familiar. โœ… Follow first, then connect โ€“ When you follow first, LinkedIn sends a message that says "Tiffany follows you and would now like to connect." That feels natural. A straight connection request? Not so much. โœ… Send blank connection requests โ€“ Messages in connection requests scream โ€œIโ€™m about to sell you something.โ€ Blank requests create intrigue and get accepted at a MUCH higher rate. โœ… Engage before you DM โ€“ Commenting on their post? Smart. Liking every post theyโ€™ve ever written? Creepy. โœ… Offer insane value first โ€“ Give them something genuinely helpful BEFORE you ask for anything. A free resource, a quick insight, something that makes them think, โ€œWow, this is actually useful.โ€ Outreach isnโ€™t dead. Bad outreach is. Are you still stuck in the old way of doing things? Or are you ready to level up?
