And probably the poor bastard fixing the website Sunday night. That is why AI matters. Not because AI has better ideas than you. But because AI can help you move your ideas into the world faster. For me, I have the experience. I have the skills. I have the stories. I have the lessons. I have the knowledge. I have the passion to help people build a business and life they love. What I don’t always have is unlimited time. So I am learning how to use AI to help me expedite what I already know. To organize my ideas. Shape my message. Create content. Build systems. Research faster. Automate routine tasks. And get my knowledge to the world in a better, faster, more powerful way. That is the real opportunity. AI is not the business. You are still the business. Your judgment matters. Your relationships matter. Your creativity matters. Your personality matters. Your experience matters. Your value matters. AI just helps you package it, polish it, automate it, and deliver it faster. That is the rise of the one-person enterprise. One person does not have to do everything. One person can orchestrate everything. But here is the chokehold you have to break: “Nobody can do it as well as I can.” Because if everything requires you, you do not own a freedom business. Your business owns you. So today, pick one workflow in your business. Write down every step. Then ask: What actually requires me?

Tuesday, August 11, 2026 AI IS GETTING CHEAPER. YOUR JUDGMENT IS GETTING MORE VALUABLE. Hello Rockstars... There's an interesting shift happening in AI right now. Yesterday, OpenAI announced expanded premium options for ChatGPT Business, another sign that AI is moving deeper into everyday business operations—not just experimentation. But here's the story I think matters more for entrepreneurs. As powerful AI becomes increasingly available to everybody, simply having AI stops being a competitive advantage. Think about what happened with websites. Twenty-five years ago, having a website made your business innovative. Today? Having a website means almost nothing. What you do with it matters. AI is heading in the same direction. And that's today's Rockstar conversation. 🚨 ROCKSTAR RADAR Statistics Canada recently reported that only 19.2% of Canadian businesses had used AI to produce goods or deliver services during the previous 12 months. Among businesses already using it, common applications included data analytics, text analytics, chatbots, natural-language processing and large language models. That tells me we're still early. But adoption isn't the endgame. The next competitive question becomes: Who's actually getting better business results from it? Because when everybody can access powerful intelligence... access becomes less important. Application becomes everything. ⚖️ ROCKSTAR REALITY CHECK 👍 THE GOOD A small entrepreneur can increasingly access capabilities that once required specialists or employees. Research. Analysis. Writing. Brainstorming. Marketing assistance. Customer support. Process documentation. That can dramatically increase what one capable entrepreneur can accomplish. 👎 THE BAD Your competitors have access to much of the same technology. If everyone asks AI to: "Write me a Facebook post..." we're going to end up with an ocean of mediocre, interchangeable content. AI doesn't automatically make you remarkable.

AI AGENTS ARE MOVING FROM “HELP ME” TO “DO IT FOR ME” Good morning Rockstars... There's another shift happening in AI, and this one matters to entrepreneurs. Today, Wix announced Symphony, an autonomous multi-agent platform designed to understand how a business operates and assemble specialized AI agents that can plan and carry out work. We're also seeing new agent products designed to work across apps and complete tasks on a user's behalf. Forget the individual products for a second. The bigger story is the transition from: AI as an assistant to... AI as a digital worker. And for entrepreneurs—especially solopreneurs—that could fundamentally change what a one-person business is capable of doing. 🚨 ROCKSTAR RADAR Until recently, most of us used AI like this: Ask → Answer → Copy → Paste → Do the Work. AI helped you write an email. Create a post. Research an idea. Brainstorm an offer. Now we're moving toward something different: Goal → Plan → Execute → Review. That's agentic AI. Instead of simply telling you how to accomplish something, increasingly capable systems can potentially execute portions of the workflow. That matters because entrepreneurs don't usually suffer from a shortage of ideas. We suffer from a shortage of... TIME. There's evidence this opportunity is already enormous. A May 2026 OpenAI report on small-business use found that at least four million people in the United States used ChatGPT during March alone to help plan, start, run or grow a business. Now imagine what happens as AI progresses from helping those entrepreneurs think... to helping them execute. ⚖️ ROCKSTAR REALITY CHECK 👍 THE GOOD This could be transformational for the one-person business. Imagine having digital assistance with: Lead research. Customer follow-up. Meeting preparation. Competitive research. Content repurposing. Administrative work. Reporting.

Sunday August 9, 2026 THE ROCKSTAR REPORT CANADA DOESN'T NEED FEWER ENTREPRENEURS... IT NEEDS MORE PEOPLE WILLING TO BECOME ONE Good morning Rockstars... Today's report is a little different. Statistics Canada is scheduled to release Canada's July Labour Force Survey. Because we're publishing before that release, I'm not going to pretend we know what today's employment numbers will say. Instead, there's a bigger story I've been watching that matters enormously to anyone thinking about entrepreneurship. Canada has what the Canadian Federation of Independent Business calls an "entrepreneurial drought." Since early 2024, more businesses have been closing than opening. CFIB says business exits have exceeded entries for at least six consecutive quarters. At the same time, small and medium-sized businesses still represent nearly 99% of Canada's employer businesses, employ more than 60% of the private-sector workforce, and contribute almost half of private-sector GDP. Think about that for a minute. We talk constantly about creating jobs... But somebody has to create the businesses that create those jobs. That's today's Rockstar conversation. 🚨 ROCKSTAR RADAR Canada isn't suffering from a shortage of ideas. We're struggling to turn enough ideas into sustainable businesses. CFIB points to rising operating costs, taxes and payroll pressures, financing challenges, regulation, labour issues and economic uncertainty as factors making entrepreneurship harder and less attractive. Its research says that more than half of current small-business owners wouldn't recommend starting a business right now. That's a serious warning sign. But I don't interpret it as: "Don't become an entrepreneur." I interpret it as: "Understand what you're getting into... and become better prepared for it." ⚖️ ROCKSTAR REALITY CHECK THE OPPORTUNITY When fewer people are willing to start businesses, capable entrepreneurs become even more important.
