Some thoughts do not just pass through
They settle in, grow roots, and start influencing how we live. A toxic thought can quietly shape fear, stress, and hopelessness if we keep feeding it. And over time, that does not only affect our spiritual and emotional life. It can also affect the brain and body.
That is one of the things I’m finding so powerful in Dr Caroline Leaf’s work, the reminder that our inner life matters more than most people realise.
What we repeatedly allow, rehearse, and believe has impact.
This is why Scripture speaks so clearly about renewing the mind.
Not as a cliché.
As a way of living.
We do not have to keep agreeing with every thought that enters. Think about what you thinking about and take every thought captive under the obedience of Jesus Christ.
Some thoughts need to be challenged.
Some need to be surrendered.
Some need to be replaced with truth.
That is part of the work we do in CORE
