The greatest battles we face are often not around us. They are within us.
The enemy knows that if he can influence your thinking, he can influence your emotions, your decisions, and ultimately the direction of your life. That is why Scripture places such importance on renewing the mind.
Not every thought that enters your mind deserves a place in your heart.
Fear says, “You’re not enough.”
Shame says, “You’ll never change.”
Anxiety says, “What if everything goes wrong?”
But God asks a different question.
Is that thought true?
Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32 NKJV)
Before you believe every thought, hold it up against God’s Word.
Ask yourself:
• Does this thought agree with what God says about me?
• Is it producing faith or fear?
• Is it leading me closer to Christ or further away?
The renewing of the mind is not positive thinking. It is replacing lies with God’s truth.
As your mind is renewed, your heart finds peace.
Your decisions become wiser.
Your reactions become gentler.
And you begin to live from faith instead of fear.
Transformation always begins with one thought surrendered to God.
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
Romans 12:2 (NKJV)
