Hallo!
I'm Melissa, from regional NSW, Australia and I am very much a work in progress.
I used to make art. Then life happened — years of it — and I just... stopped. I'm a homeschooling mum, a foster carer for cats and kittens and so much more... Somewhere in all of that, the creative part of me quietly packed her bags and left.
Then my daughter started creating the most incredible dark fantasy artwork — seriously, this girl is something else — and watching her has made me realise how much I miss making things. So here I am. A little lost, a little rusty, and genuinely unsure who I am as an artist anymore. But curious enough to find out.
About that hallo... I noticed our host is Dutch, which genuinely made me smile — my dad, my auntie, and my opa and oma are all Dutch. So I figure that's a sign I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be. 🌷
Really looking forward to being part of this community and figuring out who I am creatively — one messy, imperfect piece at a time. Which, come to think of it, feels very responsibly messy of me. 😊
