For many, religion is source of comfort, but this was not my experience. I've created this community to help others who have endured trauma in a religious setting, to have a safe place to heal. I'm a counselor who has overcome addiction and mental health issues after leaving the Mormon/LDS faith. Now, I want to help others navigate their faith deconstruction and healing after negative religious experiences. We'll learn how to "re-parent" ourselves, explore our attachment styles and ways to improve our current relationships.
