I’ve been with Recon Rendezvous since the beginning. I went from a kid who couldn’t swim 25 meters to someone capable of swimming miles a week. Marcus has transformed me not only physically but mentally. He has supported me through failures and celebrated my successes. His program builds discipline and accountability without allowing students to cut corners. Marcus is attentive, caring, and always looks out for his students. He is truly one of the best men I’ve ever had the privilege to meet.

This group is a completely 1 of 1 recourse for those interested in this path. Within the first week I had already been pushed in the water, spoken with a Recondo and had any and all questions answered with the utmost knowledge and respect, and worked with a group of guys that pushed me to keep up. I could not imagine a more comprehensive and supportive group to work with than this. This is where you should be if you want to find people to push you and a coach that actually cares about you.

Beyond grateful to be apart of this group, it’s motivating to be amongst brothers who are also striving to earn the title of Recon Marine or attend A&S to become Raiders. I met Marcus “Coach”, on a short time frame. Even though I fell short in course and DOR’d, Coach was still understanding and supportive. His ongoing support and mentorship paired with this group’s support further fuels my desire to reattempt the opportunity to become a Recon IDC.

Recon Rendevous is something that I’m grateful I have been able to be a part of. To see the growth of it and see it always evolving is amazing. The coach Marcus Allen has been more than just a fitness coach but a life mentor. There’s no person I’d rather train with and no program I’d rather be apart of. This program has also helped me connect with some of toughest guys I know and helped me build friendships with people who have similar goals as me.

Prior to joining the program, I was in rough shape to say the least. I had no idea how to begin the journey but Marcus was helpful in every sense of the way. I didn’t know how to swim or mentally prep to take on such rigorous training. Marcus and this program; which he has allowed me to be apart of, had not only improved my physical health, but it also taught me a lot about myself. All credit is due to Marcus and the incredible community he has fostered for up and coming candidates.
